Many of us have been working on a detox protocol or attempting to rid our bodies of toxins for weeks, months, or maybe even years (as in my case). Unfortunately, some of us have yet to see any positive results despite doing everything right. The good news is Dr Kelly Halderman may have found the reason why. Our Phase 2.5 detox pathway is broken.
Dr Kelly describes phase 2.5 detox as the door the toxins must go through before they can be eliminated from the body. If that door is closed, then the conjugated toxins from phase 2 detox simply reenter the bloodstream to be redeposited in our tissues & cells.
In this episode of The Happy Healthy Family Podcast, I take a deep dive into detoxification with Dr Kelly Halderman. We discuss a number of different things including:
- The 4 phases of detox and how your body gets rid of toxins
- What exactly Phase 2.5 detox is and how to ensure our detox door is open
- The importance of healthy bile flow in detoxification
- 4 factors that drive inflammation
- Microglial activation, mast cells,- & a new supplement to help calm those mast cells
