Let’s get straight to the point! You’re here looking for packaged gluten free dairy dairy free snacks you can buy at the store. I’m sure you don’t want a long drawn out intro, so let’s just jump right into it. Shall we?
In this post, you’ll find 35 Gluten Free Dairy Free Packaged Snacks for those on the GFCF diet of for those just looking for healthy snacks.
They are sorted by taste/texture (crunchy, salty, savory, sweet) with specific brand recommendations too. These snacks are perfect for kids, school, work, or while the family is on the go.
35 Gluten Free Dairy Free Packaged Snacks
*GFCF = GFDF I’ll use GFCF and GFDF interchangeably within this article, and you can consider them the same thing. |
GFCF is gluten free, casein free. (as opposed to GFDF: gluten free, dairy free) Casein is a dairy protein. Some people follow a casein free diet and not necessarily a dairy free diet (allowing for Whey protein or ghee that is casein free).

Gluten Free Dairy Free Packaged Snacks For The GFCF Diet
The Obvious Snacks
- Fresh Fruit & Veggies
- Nuts & Seeds
- Chips or GFCF Pretzels
- GFDF Bars
Healthy Notes:
When buying nuts and seeds try to avoid the ones roasted in low quality oils. They are inflammatory and thus, not really healthy for your GFCF diet. Same goes for chips. Look for ones that are fried in healthy oils like coconut, avocado, or palm oil(sustainably sourced)
Many people on a GFCF diet love Glutino pretzels, but I have to say, you should avoid them. They are made from GMO corn, and are not at all good for you. Unless you can’t live without pretzels, you probably just want to move on from them now that your gluten free and dairy free.
Even the GFDF bars are on the obvious list, I’m also going to give you my favorite brands and bars later on too.
Crunchy
****New Arrival “Real Food From The Ground Up”
I have started to see a new brand more becoming more easily available. The brand is called Real Food From The Ground Up, and they make chips, crackers, pretzels, and “Stars” (think Goldfish crackers).
I would have LOVED to have the “Stars” available when we first started the GFCF Diet for my son. He would have epic meltdowns anytime he saw Goldfish at the store. In fact, when he was 3, Target had a big display of Goldfish right when you walked in the door, and when he couldn’t have them, he had such an epic meltdown that my wife was traumatized for a long time (years really) where she didn’t want to take him shopping by himself.
These would have been a lifesaver back in the day. *NOTE: they do not taste exactly like Goldfish, but they do mimic the texture and size of Goldfish, so I bet they’ll make a great replacement for the majority of kids.
There are several options, so I’ll just give you a link to their Amazon page here, and you can see all the things they have.
- EPIC Pork Rinds
- Siete Grain Free Chips
- Paleo Puffs (my new favorite)
- Simple Mills Crackers
- Roasted Chickpeas
- Inca Foods Plantain Chips
- BARE Coconut Chips
- BARE Apple Chips
- Freeze Dried Fruit
Potential Money Saver
Thrive Market is a great place to find savings on a lot of these items. The prices are not insanely cheap. They are more like the prices you’d find when the items are on sale. It’s nice because you can just buy what you want when you want it without waiting for items to go on sale.

Gluten Free Dairy Free Packaged Snacks For The GFCF Diet
Higher Protein Snacks To Fill You Up Better
- EPIC Beef Jerky
- EPIC Meat Bars (my favorite is the habanero-cherry beef)
- Biena Roasted Chickpeas (my son says the Honey roasted tastes like cereal)
- Simple Mills Crackers (1g protein per cracker)
- RX Bars (they’re all delicious, but my favorite is the blueberry)
- Larabars (chocolate chip cookie dough is awesome)
- Bulletproof Collagen Bars
- Applegate Lunch Meat
- Hard Boiled Egg (exciting I know…sarcasm BTW)
Healthy Notes:
When looking for beef jerky, watch out for additives and artificial ingredients.
Roasted Chickpeas and Simple Mills crackers have a good amount of protein, but they also have quite a bit of carbs. If you’re watching your carb count in addition to gluten and dairy free, limit these.
When I’m out and about, I often stop into Whole Foods and buy a pack of Applegate ham. Then, I grab a free packet of Sir Kensington’s Mayo from the cafe and make a delicious ham & mayo rollup.
Bulletproof bars are pretty good and made from high quality ingredients which means they are not the cheapest. This also means that I hardly ever buy them, but if food quality is important and price is not an issue Bulletproof bars and Primal Kitchen bars are a great option.
Gluten Free Dairy Free Packaged Snacks For The GFCF Diet
Unique and Savory Snacks
- Kale Chips (can’t recall the brand I got from Whole Foods but the BBQ was delish)
- GimMe Roasted Seaweed
- Olives
- Bubbies Pickles
- Justin’s Almond Butter Packets
- DF Yogurt Cup ( I like Forager Cashewgurt)
Healthy Notes:
I personally hate seaweed, but I know many people like these semi-crunchy snacks. Costco sells a huge pack with 12 individual packages for around $5, but you can get them from Target, Whole Foods, or Thrive Market has them for about $1 each.
Dairy free yogurt cups are tasty snacks, but I probably should put them in the sweet category based on the sugar content.
Gluten Free Dairy Free Packaged Snacks For The GFCF Diet
The Fun Stuff: Sweets & Treats
- Hail Merry Treats
- Endangered Species or GFDF Dark Chocolate
- Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter
- Bark Thins
- Fruit Leather/Snacks
- Yumearth Suckers and candies
- Surf Sweets Candies (jelly beans, gummies..)
- GFDF Cookies: (Enjoy Life, Simple Mills)
Healthy Notes:
This is the sweets and treats category, so naturally they are fairly high in sugar, but just don’t have too many and you’re okay.
Simple Mills soft baked cookies are fantastic! Enjoy life soft baked are pretty good too. My favorite on this list is probably Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter. I eat this stuff straight outta the jar by the spoonful!
Hail Merry Treats are awesome too. Problem is they’re only available at natural grocery stores like Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Fresh Thyme. They also need to be refrigerated.
However, if you plan ahead, you can freeze them the night before and bring them with you wherever you are going the next day.
In Conclusion
You’re welcome 🙂 No conclusion needed. Am I right?
